Planning meals on a student budget
A realistic week on a student budget relies on a few well-reused ingredients, one or two cooking sessions and leftovers for lunches. The Student plan is not offered during the beta; it will follow after the beta.
A workable week, even with little time
- Pick two or three staples. A grain, a legume and a protein can become several meals.
- Cook once or twice. One session on Sunday and one mid-week often cover most dinners.
- Plan leftovers for lunches. One extra serving at dinner becomes the next day’s lunch.
- Keep a simple pantry. Rice, pasta, canned legumes, eggs and frozen vegetables help on evenings without a plan.
- Write the list before you go. A list linked to the week’s meals limits unplanned purchases.
